Mr PUNCH —I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move:

That this House-

(1) condemns the inhumane and unnecessary slaughter of thousands of dolphins per year by Taiwanese fishermen in and around Australian waters, as revealed at a recent meeting of the State and Commonwealth representatives of the Standing Committee on Fisheries;

(2) notes that four species of dolphin may be threatened with extinction; and

(3) calls on the Government to urgently investigate the matter with a view to stopping this massacre immediately.
