Discussion of Matter of Public Importance

Mr SPEAKER —I have received a letter from the honourable member for Warringah ( Mr MacKellar) proposing that a definite matter of public importance be submitted to the House for discussion, namely:

The developing crisis in Australia's relations with ASEAN because of the decision of ASEAN to postpone the Australian-ASEAN forum meeting in protest about Australia's policy towards Vietnam and its occupation of Cambodia.

I call upon those members who approve of the proposed discussion to rise in their places.

More than the number of members required by the Standing Orders having risen in their places-
