Most Aston families eligible will have now received the Howard Government’s tax-free bonus payments, Aston MP Chris Pearce said today.

“Around 13,600 families in Aston, those receiving Family Tax Benefit Part A and those with dependant children aged 16 to 17 on Youth Allowance, should have received their tax-free bonus payment of $600 per eligible child,” Mr Pearce said.

Mr Pearce said that families did not need to do anything to claim the bonus payment, as it would be paid automatically into their bank account or paid to them by cheque.

“This Government understands the challenges of raising a family, and our strong economic management has allowed the Government to deliver this extra $19.2 billion in financial support that families deserve,” Mr Pearce said.

Mr Pearce said that families can look for ‘AusGov FTB Bonus’ on their bank statement to identify the payment. Families that have not received the $600 bonus payment by June 30 should call 13 61 50, visit one of the local Family Assistance Offices, or go to
