South West Veterans’ Centre in Warrnambool will get $350.00 in Federal Government funding.

Member for Wannon - David Hawker - announced the funding today and said it would be used to cover internet costs.

He said this would ultimately help veterans and war widows claim pensions and other benefits.

“This financial help for the South West Veterans’ Centre has been made available under the Government’s Building Excellence in Support and Training programme,” Mr. Hawker said.

“The main aim of this programme is to make the veterans’ claims process fairer, easier to understand and more efficient.”

Mr. Hawker said the south west had now received around $3,700 in building excellence programme grants.

Release Ends.
