Michael Organ MP Greens Member for Cunningham

***** MEDIA ALERT***** 1 October 2004

Cunningham MP Michael Organ will launch the Australian Greens Industrial Relations policy on Monday’s Labour day public holiday.

“Labour day is a celebration of campaigns to advance workers rights which continues to this day. Equally the once steel city of Wollongong has a proud history of trade union activism that is an undeniable feature of the Illawarra region today. Michael

Organ said.

“The Greens policy on Industrial Relations would wash away the regressive approach that the Howard Government has taken when it comes to workers rights.”

“Industrial Relations policy is a timeless ideological battleground”

“We must do more to share wealth, reduce working hours and improve conditions of employment and entitlements.”

“My ongoing commitment to industrial manslaughter legislation clearly shows my support for workers and their unions,” Michael Organ said.
