Media Release 15 March 2005

REGIONAL PARTNERSHIPS FUNDING FOR COLEAMBALLY PRESCHOOL The Nationals Member for Riverina Kay Hull today announced funding of $55,000 under the Regional Partnerships program to assist Coleambally Preschool with its extension and renovation project.

Mrs Hull said the funding from the Australian Government will assist with the costs of the concrete slab, re-roofing and internal fit-out.

“This project will improve access to services in the Coleambally area through the extension and renovation of the preschool centre which will ensure a safer learning environment for local children,” Mrs Hull said.

“The Coleambally Preschool will have the facilities to cater for disabled access and will be able to provide quality early childhood services for all families in the local community.

“A safe and inviting preschool environment will support existing families and potentially attract new families and businesses to the area.”

Regional Partnerships continues the Australian Government’s approach of working with local communities to support their ideas.

Regional Partnerships will deliver benefits to communities well into the future, not only from program funding, but from the higher levels of economic activity and improved social amenity which is generated by the program.
