The Hon Bob Baldwin MP Federal Member for Paterson

7th October 2008

Paterson MP Bob Baldwin has urged small to medium sized manufacturers to apply for funding of up to $500,000 under the Re-tooling for Climate Change grants program.

The program is aimed at reducing the environmental impact of industry production processes which is particularly relevant in the Hunter.

“This grant will offer small and medium sized manufactures (SME’s) in our local area grants ranging from $10, 000 up to $500, 000 to assist in the reduction of Australia’s green house gas emissions,” said Mr Baldwin.

“It is vital to provide industry with appropriate support and work in partnership to reduce Australia’s carbon footprint .”

“I strongly urge businesses in the Paterson electorate to take full advantage of the Re-tooling for Climate Change program by applying for a grant, to ensure a more environmentally sustainable future for our local area.” Said Mr Baldwin

“Not only will businesses that secure funding reduce their carbon footprint, but it will also result in greater manufacturing efficiencies for their business.
