Directorate of Public Relations, Army Headquarters, CANBERRA. A.C.T.

No. 6448 3-3.7^

Many former Australian soldiers could add to their display of

medals next Anzac Day, simply by writing to the Army.

A large number of medals, awarded for service in Australia and

overseas, have not been claimed by the men who earned them.

They date from WW1 and include many from WW2, Korea, Malaya and South

Vietnam. '

Former soldiers who believe they may be entitled to a medal can

write to the Central Army Records Office, Albert Park Barracks, Melbourne,

Vic, 3004. They need to give their Army number, full name, address and an

indication of the medals believed to have been earned.
