Pearce welcomes Doyle's attendance at Scoresby meeting

Aston MP Chris Pearce today welcomed Victorian Opposition Leader Robert Doyle’s confirmation that he will attend the forthcoming public meeting regarding the imposition of tolls on the Scoresby Freeway that was announced yesterday.

“It is good news for local residents that Robert Doyle is prepared to come to our community and listen to our concerns. Unfortunately, as at this time, I have had no response from Premier Bracks”, Mr Pearce said.

The public meeting will be held on Monday 28th April 2003 at the Hungarian Community Centre, 760 Boronia Road, Wantirna, commencing at 7:30pm.

Mr Pearce said that the public meeting would involve a briefing on the current status of the Scoresby Freeway followed by discussion of opportunities for the local community to work together in reversing the Bracks Labor Government’s appalling backflip over tolls on the Scoresby Freeway.

Enquiries about the public meeting should be directed to Chris Pearce’s office on (03) 9887 3890.
