Member for Wannon - David Hawker - has welcomed today’s announcement of a $3 million allocation for salinity and water quality work in the south west.

Glenelg Hopkins Catchment Management Authority will use the funding for a trial Regional Catchment Investment Plan.

Mr. Hawker said this was the first plan to receive accreditation from the Natural Heritage Trust and National Action Plan for Salinity and Water Quality.

Her said the funding allocation had national significance and he was delighted to have supported the considerable amount of work that had gone into the application.
