JACK MUNDY IN WOLLONGONG TO SUPPORT PROTECTION OF LOWER CROWN STREET

Tomorrow, Cunningham MP Michael Organ will join Jack Mundy in an inspection of the historic precinct of Lower Crown Street, the “Rocks of Wollongong.”

“The Lower Crown Street heritage precinct, dating back to the 1830s, is currently facing the threat of demolition to make way for an 8 storey tower,” Michael Organ said.

“Jack Mundy was the instigator of Australia’s first heritage protection ‘Green Bans’ that stopped Sydney’s Rocks area from being destroyed, so I am very pleased that he has thrown his support behind the campaign to save Lower Crown Street as well,” Michael Organ said.
