First delivery of aid for Pakistan has departed Amberley

The Royal Australian Air Force’s C-17A Globemaster carrying emergency AusAID stores to food-devastated Pakistan departed Amberley this morning.

The flight was due to depart Amberley yesterday however was delayed for approximately 24 hours so that technicians could rectify a fault that had been encountered during the loading.

The emergency relief stores are due to arrive this weekend with a second sortie due to arrive in Pakistan early next week.
