Last chance to join Scoresby Petition chorus

Aston MP Chris Pearce today encouraged local residents and businesses to ensure that their voice is heard on the Bracks Government’s betrayal in imposing tolls on the Scoresby Freeway.

With the petition expected to be tabled in coming weeks, Mr Pearce encouraged those that had not yet signed the petition to do so in person at his electorate office, located at Unit 7, 426 Burwood Highway, Wantirna South.

Mr Pearce said that for people with friends or family who also wanted to sign the petition, additional copies of the petition were available from his office.

Mr Pearce said that the petition was an important part of the wider ongoing community campaign on the Scoresby Freeway, which has included several public meetings and the ‘Scoresby - No Tolls’ bumper stickers.

“The strong and ongoing support for the petition has demonstrated the community’s strong commitment to continuing the local campaign for a better deal on the Scoresby Freeway - and that is a campaign that I will continue fighting for”, Mr Pearce said.
