EXPORT SUGAR REBATE

Under the provisions of the Sugar Agreement 1962, the Export Sugar Committee has determined the rates of export. sugar rebate forJune, 1967 at $65.90 per ton of cane sugar content of "approved fruit products" and ;;75.90 per ton of cane sugar content of "other approved products"

exported to destinations other than New Zealand. For exports to New Zealand the rates of export sugar rebate for June, 1967 have been determined at $37.80 per ton of cane sugar content of "approved fruit products" and

$47.80 per ton of cane sugar content of "other approved products".

As the above rates of export sugar rebate determined under the Sugar Agreement 1962 for all destinations other than New Zealand are higher than the minimum rates for which provision is made under the "ex gratia" arrangement with the sugar industry, the rates under the Sugar Agreement obtain and become the effective rates of export sugar

rebate for June , 1967.

The "ex ;ratia" arrangement with the sugar industry does not apply in respect of products exported to New Zealand.
