KEVIN RUDD’S RECORD OF BIG WASTE AND CHAOS

The Coalition has today released Kevin Rudd’s Record of Big Waste and Chaos - a companion guide to the The Little Book of Big Labor Waste which was released in May.

The new booklet lists 20 examples of waste and mismanagement that Kevin Rudd is directly responsible for.

We all know that Kevin Rudd is the master and commander of Labor’s waste and mismanagement.

It was Kevin Rudd who abolished the Howard Government’s proven border protection policies, which has led to the crisis on our borders.

It was Kevin Rudd who proposed to build the NBN without a cost-benefit analysis, which is now way behind schedule and way over budget.

It was Kevin Rudd who was in charge when up to $8 billion was wasted on overpriced school halls.

And it was Kevin Rudd who implemented and oversaw the disastrous home insulation scheme.

Now Kevin Rudd is back. And it is clear he has not changed.

His policy on the run style of governing is again impacting on the budget and hurting Australian jobs. He can’t tell us how much his Papua New Guinea arrangement will cost, although we know the government advertising spruiking it will cost taxpayers millions of dollars. And he won’t tell us how many jobs have been lost as a direct result of his FBT changes.

Under Kevin Rudd 2.0, the chaos and dysfunction continues, and the waste and mismanagement endures.

Kevin Rudd might like to play down the seriousness of the nation’s debt level, but he can’t escape the fact that the increase in Australia’s debt over Labor’s first 5 Budgets has been

faster than over any other 5 year period in modern Australian history - faster even than through the early 1990s “recession we had to have”.

What Labor does best is rack-up debt through waste and mismanagement - it’s in their DNA. The only way to stop Labor’s waste and start to pay back the debt is to change the Government.
