MR LEN TAYLOR

The Board, management and staff of theAustralian Tourist Commission today expressed their shock and sadness at the death of Mr Len Taylor, Managing Director of the Inbound Tourism Organisation of Australia (ITOA).

ATC Chairman Don Morris said he was greatly saddened by news of Mr Taylor’s death,

"Len Taylor was a wonderful Australian and his death Is a huge loss for the Australian tourism industry," he said.

ATC Managing Director John Morse said Mr Taylor had made an enormous contribution to tourism in Australia.

O ver a long and very distinguished career Len Taylor has played a key role in developing international tourism into Australia,” he said.

"He will be greatly missed, personally and professionally, by all in the industry.”

ATC Deputy Managing Director and fellow ITOA Board Member Bill Calderwood said he had worked closely with Mr Taylor for the past two years,

"I have always had the highest respect for him both as a professional, and as a friend. My thoughts are with his family and friends."

The ATC extends its deepest sympathy to Mr Taylor's family.
