Mary Jo Fisher recognised for contribution to Senate

The Leader of the Government in the Senate, Senator Chris Evans, today recognised South Australian Liberal Senator, Mary Jo Fisher, for her contribution to the Parliament over the past five years.

Senator Evans said since joining the Senate in 2007, Ms Fisher had been dedicated to representing her South Australian constituents in the Parliament.

“Mary Jo has made a significant contribution to the Senate, advocating strongly for South Australians and engaging in a broad range of issues from the environment and water to communications and industrial relations,” Senator Evans said.

“She has made a difficult choice in difficult circumstances.

“On behalf of all Labor Senators, I wish Mary Jo and her family all the very best for the future.”
