Hanson-Young challenges Sen. Nash to Adelaide debate on MDBA draft plan

Australian Greens’ water spokesperson, Sen. Sarah Hanson-Young, has challenged Nationals Sen. Fiona Nash to a debate in Adelaide on the Murray Darling Basin Authority’s draft plan.

“Sen. Nash freely attacks me when I stand up for my state, but will she come to South Australia and debate the flawed draft plan. There are no jobs from a dead river,” Greens’ water spokesperson, Sen. Sarah Hanson-Young, said.

“Sen. Nash attacked me yesterday for attending a Murray Darling Basin Authority meeting in Adelaide and standing up for South Australia.

“South Australians are used to politicians from NSW showing them disrespect over water allocations, as Sen. Nash’s petty jibe proved yesterday.

“Sen. Nash should come tell my city why she and the Nationals do not believe South Australians deserve our fair share of water, and why they think it should be business as usual to short-change the environment.”
