XIV WORLD'S POULTRY CONGRESS MADRID, SPAIN, SEPTEMBER, 1970

The Minister for Primary Industry, Mr. Anthony, said

today that Australian poultry interests would be represented by

a strong delegation at the XIV tWorld's Poultry Congress to be

held in Madrid, Spain, in September, 1970.

Mr. Anthony said all sectors of the industry would be

represented at the Conference and he felt many benefits would

accrue to Australia from participation by the Australian

delegates through exchange of ideas and by debate with industry

leaders from other countries.

Tremendous development had taken place in the

Australian poultry industry following the holding of the XII

Congress in Sydney in August, 1962.

Mr. F.N.J. Milne, Senior Poultry Officer, Department

of Primary Industries, Brisbane, will be the leader of the

Australian delegation, which is made up of the following

personnel:

Professor R. B. Cumming, Senior Lecturer in Poultry

Science, University of New England.

Dr. A. Johnson, Senior Research Officer, Division

of Pood Preservation, CSIRO.

Dr. M. M. McDonald, Senior Lecturer in Poultry,

Queensland Agricultural College, Gatton, Queensland.

Mr. A. 0. Moll, Secretary of the Australian Branch

of the World's Poultry . Science Association and

Managing Director of a leading poultry equipment

manufacturer.

Mr. R. A. Morris, Officer--in--Charge, ?oultry Branch,

Department of Agriculture, Western Australia.

Mr. V. Neilson, a leading poultry farmer from the

Territory of Papua/New Guinea.

Mr. V. T. Parkinson, Chairman of the Poultry Husbandry

Research Foundation, University of Sydney.

Dr. 0. Payne, Director of the Poultry Research Unit,

University of Sydney.

Professor T. J. Robinson, Director, Poultry Husbandry

Research Foundation and Head of the Department of

Animal Husbandry, University of Sydney.

Mr. G. Slennett, Senior Livestock Officer (Poultry)

Department of Agriculture, New South Wales.

Mr. R. Watson, Veterinary Executive with Ingham

Enterprises, which is one of Australia's largest

poultry producers.
