CSG surrender a win for the Otways: Greens    Greens Senator for Victoria, Richard Di Natale, has welcomed the decision by ECI International  to surrender their CSG exploration permit as a win for the Otways.    “The people the Otways have won a great victory today,” said Senator Di Natale.    “Local residents were very vocal in their opposition to CSG mining in the area and this outcomes  demonstrates the power of a united community.”    “It is the second time this year that a CSG exploration permit for Western Victoria has been  surrendered following local opposition.”    “ECI International should be congratulated for recognising that there is little appetite for CSG  mining in Victoria.”    “Hopefully this is a signal to other mining companies and it slams the brakes on the rapid  expansion of CSG exploration in Victoria.”    Media contact: Andrew Blyberg 0457 901 600
