A Bill for an Act to amend the law relating to referendums, and for related purposes
The Parliament of Australia enacts:
This Act is the Referendum (Machinery Provisions) Amendment Act 2022 .
(1) Each provision of this Act specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

4 Disapplication of section 11 of the Referendum (Machinery Provisions) Act 1984
Section 11 of the Referendum (Machinery Provisions) Act 1984 does not apply during the period:
(a) beginning on the day this section commences; and
(b) ending on polling day for the first general election of the members of the House of Representatives held after the commencement of this section.
