A Bill for an Act to amend the Customs Tariff Act 1995, and for related purposes

The Parliament of Australia enacts:

1   Short title

                   This Act may be cited as the Customs Tariff Amendment Act (No. 3) 2000.
2   Commencement

             (1)  Subject to subsections (2), (3) and (4), this Act commences on the day on which it receives Royal Assent.

             (2)  Schedule 1 is taken to have commenced on 15 December 1999.

             (3)  Schedule 2 is taken to have commenced on 10 March 2000.

             (4)  Schedule 3 commences 7 days after the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent.
3   Schedule(s)

                   Subject to section 2, each Act that is specified in a Schedule to this Act is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this Act has effect according to its terms.
