Summary

Introduced with the Counter-Terrorism (Temporary Exclusion Orders) Bill 2019, the bill amends the: Independent National Security Legislation Monitor Act 2010 to enable the Independent National Security Legislation Monitor to review the operation, effectiveness and implications of the temporary exclusion orders scheme; and Intelligence Services Act 2001 to require the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Intelligence and Security to monitor and review the exercise of powers under the scheme.
