Summary

Amends the Building and Construction Industry Improvement Act 2005 to: extend the application of the Australian Government Building and Construction Industry Occupational Health and Safety Accreditation Scheme to building work indirectly funded by the Commonwealth or a Commonwealth authority; restructure the process of appointing Federal Safety Officers; and allow the Federal Safety Commissioner, and persons working in the Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner, to disclose information on the Scheme to the minister.
