Summary

Amends the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1963 and Telecommunications Act 1997 to create a regulatory scheme to enable the Australian Communications Authority to establish protection zones over submarine telecommunications cables that link Australia to global networks and which are of national significance.
