(Amendment to be moved by Senator Hanson-Young on behalf of the Australian Greens in committee of the whole)
(1) Schedule 1, page 3 (before line 4), before item 1, insert:
1A After subsection 1067A(10D)
Insert:
(10DA) A person is entitled to the full rate of youth allowance if:
(a) the person is required to move away from the family home in order to undertake a course at a higher education institution; and
(b) the time required for the person to travel between the family home and the higher education institution would exceed 90 minutes; and
(c) the person’s combined family income is less than $150,000.
