Senator Grimes asked the Minister for Social Security, upon notice, on 26 February 1980:

(   1 ) How many staff in each State and Territory office are involved in the direct administration of the Handicapped Person's Assistance Act 1974.

(2)   How many organisations in each State and Territory are funded under this Act.


Senator Dame Margaret Guilfoyle - The answer to the honourable senator's question is as follows:

(1)   As at 29 February 1980 the following operative staff were involved in the direct administration of the Handicapped Persons Assistance Act 1974 in each State and Territory Office.

 

(2)   The number of organisations funded under the Handicapped Persons Assistance Act 1 974, as at 30 June 1 979 is set out hereunder, together with the number of facilities operated by these organisations:
