Senator MURPHY (New South WalesLeader of the Opposition) - This Bill is an onslaught upon the rights of freedom of speech and of peaceable assembly in this country. It is in line with a number of other attempts to erode civil liberties in our community. The Opposition will resist this Bill and vote against it at every stage. I ask leave to continue my remarks, Mr Acting Deputy President.

Leave granted; debate adjourned.
