Senator COTTON (NEW SOUTH WALES) (Minister for Civil Aviation) - I completely agree with the honourable senator when he says that India and Pakistan offer opportunities for the disposal of surplus Australian mutton. I know from my own experience that for some time quite conscious efforts have been made to build a market in Pakistan and equally that very solid efforts have been made, particularly out of Western Australia, to build a market in the Middle East for surplus mutton. I cannot go beyond that at the present time. I would take . great interest in finding out for the honourable senator the latest developments and - also the latest steps that axe being taken. I am sure that the Trade Commissioners in those 2 countries are alive tq the opportunities. This is one of the things I would expect them to be doing. I will find out for the honourable senator and let him know as soon as I can.
