Senator E B JOHNSTON (WESTERN AUSTRALIA) asked the Minister representing the Minister for Trade and Customs, upon notice -

1.   Are refunds of duty usually made on articles which are imported into this country for subsequent export?

2.   On what conditions are such refunds usually made?

3.   Why are not the primage duties which have been paid on the importation of cornsacks, woolsacks, &c., refunded when the said jute goods are exported?
