Senator E B JOHNSTON (WESTERN AUSTRALIA) asked the Minister representing the Prime Minister, upon notice -

1.   Is it a fact that at a very large and representative . meeting of farmers, convened by the Primary Producers Association of Western Australia, and held in Perth on the 28th ultimo, the following resolution was carried by a large majority: - " This meeting declares against further production of wheat until a definite understanding is given by the Federal and State Governments that the demand for a bonus of 4s. per bushel is granted, or an equivalent is paid. An executive committee to be formed to organize the wheat-growers of Australia on the lines of ' No adequate payment for this year's harvest, no further production ' " ?

2.   If so, what action does the Federal Government intend to take in regard to granting the request of the meeting for a bonus on wheat production as expressed in the resolution?
