Senator MCLACHLAN (South Australia) (10:58 AM) . -Perhaps some of these institutions are already covered by paragraphs e and g. Goods made by inmates of an institution, ] think are entitled to claim the benefits provided under the former paragraph. I believe the inmates do not derive any direct benefit from the sale of the products which they manufacture. I realize that the Minister is in a difficult position, and that if the amendment were adopted possibly other institutions would have to be included. I suggest that the honorable senator allow the clause to remain as it is at present. If its operation were extended in the way that he, quite worthily, desires, I am afraid that complications would ensue that at present we cannot foresee.
