Senator PAYNE (Tasmania) . - If this section is deleted, we shall be removing the only protection which the moderates, who are always anxious to obey an award of the court, possess. The Minister said that he believed that workers should obey an award of the court; but we know from experience that the extremists who have caused most of the trouble have prevented the moderates from continuing work. Every effort should be made to prevent their being brow-beaten by the minority, who have caused most of the trouble. The retention of this section will assist the moderate section of trade unionists.
