Senator DALY - On the 9th July Senator E. B. Johnston asked the following questions, upon notice : -

1.   Is it a fact that the Colonial Sugar Refining Company, in its balance-sheet for the half-year ended the 31st March, 1030, departed from its customary practice of publishing separately the profits made in Australia and the profits made in New Zealand and Fiji?

2.   Can the Minister inform the Senate of the amount of profit made by the company in (a) Australia and (b) New Zealand and Fiji, for the twelve months ended 31st March. 1030?

I am now able to furnish the honorable senator with the following information : -

1.   Yes.

2.   The Minister for Trade and Customs has no information with regard to the matter.
