Senator McLACHLAN (SOUTH AUSTRALIA) asked the Minister representing the Minister for Defence, upon notice -

1.   Will the Government make available tents or other equipment suitable for sheltering 240 returned soldiers who are nightly fed at the Cheer-up Hut, Adelaide?

2.   If no military equipment be available, will the Minister ascertain ifany material canbe obtained from the Works Department or Postmaster-General's Department for the purpost of providing shelters for these men!
