Senator Sir GEORGE PEARCE - Since the Senate adjourned on Friday last, statements purporting to emanate from the Prime Minister have appeared in the press regarding the business before the Senate, particularly the bills for the alteration of the Constitution. Is the Leader of the Senate in a position to announce the intentions of the Government in regard to those measures?
