Senator MILLEN - The Government are always givingserious consideration to the prospect of making living in Australia cheaper. We' have submitted a programme of measures which, we believe, will tend in that direction.

Senator GARDINER - Does the pro- gramme which has been submitted to the S enate comprise all that the Government intend to do?

Senator MILLEN - The amount of business we shall be able to accomplish will obviously depend very much on the attitude of the Opposition.
