Senator NEEDHAM asked the Minister representing the Postmaster-General, upon notice -

1.   Has the exact site of the proposed new General Post Office on the reserved area in Perth yet been decided on?

2.   If so, when will operations in connexion with the actual construction of the building be commenced ?

3.   If the exact site has not yet been determined, when will a determination be made?

4.   Is it a fact that the State architect of Western Australia has reported that a better bottom for foundations is obtainable on Murraystreet frontage of resumed area as compared with site at present proposed facing New-street?

5.   Has the question of securing the proper bottom for foundations anything to do with the delay in deciding on the exact site?
