Senator PEARCE - I have been supplied with the following answers to the questions : -

1.   Yes.

2.   At the1911 Imperial Conference it was decided that Colonial Ministers would be invited to attend meetings of the Defence Committee, and did so attend during the sittings of the1911 Conference.

3.   This Government favours full conferences of representatives of the United Kingdom and Dominion Governments not less frequently than every two years, to meet in the Dominions whenever possible. Subsidiary conferences to deal with particular matter to be convened when necessary. Periodical visits of British Ministers to Dominions when possible.
