Senator PEARCE (Western AustraliaMinister of Defence) . - In dealing with this clause we added to the amendment of the House of Representatives, which proposed the omission of the word " All " and the insertion of the words The regulations may provide that any," the words " ships of such class or classes as may be prescribed or." That will not read properly, and in order to improve the drafting of the clause I move -

That consequential upon the amendment of the House ofRepresentatives the clause be amended by leaving out the words " ships of such class or classes as may be prescribed of ", and inserting after the word "ships" the words "of such class or classes as may be prescribed."
