Senator RAE (NEW SOUTH WALES)
asked the Minister representing the Attorney-General, upon notice -
1. Is there any power existing in the Constitution to grant persons resident in the Federal Capital Territory the right to vote on questions submitted to a referendum?
2. If so, will a measure conferring such right be presented to Parliament?
3. Can the residents of the Federal Capital Territory be attached for voting purposes, in regard to Senate elections, to an adjacent State?
4. If not, will steps be taken to provide such persons with some form of Federal representation ?
