Senator ST LEDGER (Queensland) . - It seems to me that there is an excellent reason why this railway should be placed under the control of the Minister of External Affairs. It is simply to give him something to do. He might as well have some little thing to look after. The work of his Department is not at present overwhelming, and I congratulate the Government on giving the Minister something with which to occupy his time, df, however, there should be a conflict be tween the two Ministers who are looking after railway construction, it will probably be very bad for somebody; and the somebody will probably not be the Minister of Home Affairs.
