Senator E J RUSSELL (VICTORIA) . - Seeing, after all is said and done, that this is not an item which needs any more protection, and as I understand that little or none of it is made here, perhaps I shall be quite consistent with my desire to knock out some of the revenue-producing items, even if I agree to admit silk braids worth 5s. per yard. I am very glad to accept the Minister's suggestion.

That the House of Representatives be requested to amend the item by leaving out " two," line 6, and inserting in lieu thereof " three."
