Senator SAYERS (QUEENSLAND) - The Minister stated on the 3rd instant that the information was available. It is wanted for the purpose of the Electoral Bill, but apparently it will be presented when it will be practically of no use to us.

Senator PEARCE - There seems to be a misunderstanding. I am now informed by the Chief Electoral Officer that the return has been sent up.

Senator Keating - That is what I wanted to know.

Senator PEARCE - Will the honorable senator ascertain whether the return is in the possession of the Clerk of the Senate ?

Senator Keating - On the 3rd instant the Minister, in reply to my question, said, The information is available, and will be laid upon the table in the form of a return."
