Senator PLAYFORD - Unless I am compelled to do so, I do not intend to lay these papers on the table of the House, and so make them public. The matter has been inquired into and has been settled. Both parties have! come to an agreement, and I think it is a great deal better that we should let sleeping dogs lie, and not stir up trouble for the future. If any honorable senator desires to see the papers, I am quite willing that he should do so on the understanding that he will not make the contents public.
