Senator MILLEN (New South Wales) . - Is it the intention of the Government to go on with the consideration of the Bill in Committee to-night?

Senator Playford - I should very much like to get through with it-

Senator MILLEN - I do not know how other honorable senators feel, but a twelvehour shift is as much as I feel capable of.

Senator Guthrie - Honorable senators have had three hours out of that.

Senator MILLEN - I have had no three hours off. In view of the fact that we have to meet again at 10.30 a.m. to-morrow, I put it to the Minister to say whether it is not an undue strain to impose upon honorable senators to ask them to sit later, and whether he does not think that it would be advisable at this hour to report progress?

Senator McGregor - I think we should pass one clause before we adjourn.

Clause agreed to.
