Senator DOBSON (Tasmania) .- It will be observed that I have on the notice-paper a motion dealing with the question of old-age pensions, and suggesting the establishment of some system based on self-help and thrift. That I may put myself in order, and may not anticipate debate on that motion, I desire to say that, owing to the late stage of the session at which we have arrived, and the fact that there will not be sufficient time to discuss so important a subject, it is my intention to take the first opportunity to move that the motion be discharged from the paper.
