Senator DE LARGIE (Western Australia) , - I have not a strong objection to the Minister of Defence explaining the position to the Senate if for no other reason than that we might have an explanation from some honorable senators as to the votes that were cast on Friday last upon the third reading of the Bill. Perhaps if the matter were re-opened, some light would fee shed upon what took place. As for the information asked for by Senator Clemons, I would advise him to apply to his friends Senator Givens and Senator Millen.

Senator Clemons - I am asking the leader of the Senate.

Senator DE LARGIE - I think those two gentlemen are about as well able to give information on this subject as any.

Senator Millen - If the honorable senator appeals to me, I reply thatI have no information, and cannot get it.
