Senator PEARCE (Western Australia) . - I would respectfully suggest to the Minister of Defence that he has already given an intimation regarding the question put by Senator Clemons, and that that intimation is all that we have a right to ask for at the present juncture. Furthermore, I do not know whether the honorable senator desires this subject to be re-opened, but, if he is anxious for it, there are certain matters upon which some of us would like to have information.

Senator Clemons - We want the honorable senator, as well the the opponents of the Bill, to know what is to be done.

Senator Dobson - We do not want it re-opened.

Senator Playford - Let sleeping dogs lie.

Senator PEARCE - I think that the answer we have had should be satisfactory, so far as it goes.
