Senator KEATING - The answers to the honorable senator's' questions are as follow : -

1.   Delay in certain cases in the nast has been due to causes beyond the Public Service Commissioner, but steps have since been taken which will prevent any undue delay in the future.

a.   This is not necessary, as cases of suspension are dealt with bv Boards of Inquiry; and, under recent instructions issued by the Public Service Commissioner, the suspension is to be removed immediately after receipt of the Board's report, unless the offence be of such gravity as to warrant dismissal.'
